Tottenham's Dele Alli robbed on knifepoint this morning

Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has been robbed on knifepoint this morning. As per Express, the Premier League star was in lockdown with his girlfriend, his brother and a friend when two robbers entered his property.

The midfielder was punched in the face by one of the assailants and he was left with minor facial injuries. As per reports, the robbers left with some jewellery and watches.

It is believed that Alli won’t require any hospital treatment as his injuries are minor. The Tottenham star later opened up about his ordeal on Twitter and thanked everyone for their support. He wrote that it was a horrible experience for him but he is fine now.

The 24-year-old had CCTV installed in his premises and the footage has been passed on to the police for investigation. So far no arrests have been made.

Alli has had a mixed season for Tottenham so far and he will be hoping to finish strongly once football returns.

Premier League is expected to resume next month but there are no certainties.

The current health crisis has not been dealt with yet and that could jeopardize the Premier League’s plans to resume the season soon.

Spurs will be hoping to get back to action soon and secure their place in next season’s Champions League. If the league ends on PPG, it could be disastrous for them.

The Londoners have already taken a hit financially due to the Covid-19 pandemic and they cannot afford to miss out on the European football revenue next season.
