Wolves 3-0 Everton Wolves routed Everton

Wolverhampton Wanderers picked up a superb win over Everton in the Premier League today.

Nuno’s men are now up to sixth in the table afterh a 3-0 victory over Everton at Molineux Stadium.

The home side were in control right from the start and they made Everton pay for their poor defence throughout the 90 minutes.

It was Daniel Podence who worked Pickford at the start of the game and he managed to get his goal soon after close to the 45-minute mark.

Podence managed to win a penalty and star striker Raul Jimenez managed to convert from the spot for his 16th goal of the season. Jimenez has converted all five penalty kicks that he attempted in Premier League season.

Midfielder Leander Dendoncker doubled Wolves’ lead early on in the second half with a header from Pedro Neto’s free-kick.

Attacker Diogo Jota sealed all three points for the Molineux outfit with a goal 16 minutes from time. He managed to covert after a superb long ball from Ruben Neves sent him through on goal.

Wolves could have scored more goals but Spanish winger Adama Traore hit the crossbar of an open goal late on.

Nuno’s men are now on 55 points, three behind fifth-placed Manchester United. Meanwhile, Everton stay 11th with 45 points from 35 matches.

Carlo Ancelotti will be bitterly disappointed with his team’s performance today and he will demand a reaction in the next game. They will be playing against Aston Villa, Sheffield United and Bournemouth in current season.

It will be interesting to see if Everton can bounce back now.

Today’s result just goes to show the difficulty of the task Ancelotti has at hand next season.
