Bayern made it eight wins in all competitions last time out when they defeated Hertha Berlin 3-2 away from home.
The Bavarians stormed into a 3-0 lead in the first half against the capital club, thanks to goals from Jamaal Musiala, and Eric Choupo-Moting. However, the hosts snatched two goals back in the space of five minutes in the first half through Dodi Lukebakio and Davie Selke. But Bayern held on to their lead to win the game which featured the return of goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
After the game, Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann stated that “All of Germany is pleased ‘Manu’ is back.” But despite the return of Neuer, Nagelsmann admitted that his side had lost focus after racing ahead.
The win, coupled with Union Berlin’s loss to Bayer Leverkusen means Bayern come into this round of games sitting at the top of the table. The result was their fourth consecutive league win in a row and they will now return home, where they haven’t been beaten in a league contest since January (W9, D4) while averaging five goals per game across their last three home Bundesliga fixtures.
This game is their final home outing before the World Cup so fans will want to see more goals and an avoidance of any further injuries, like that to defender Alphonso Davies last time out, which could impact their title defence.

Bremen will look to make it three wins in a row when they travel to Munich on Tuesday.
The visitors have enjoyed a good season so far, winning six of their opening 12 league games, including the last two against Hertha (1-0) and Schalke (2-1). Their last win moved them closer to the European qualification spots as they now sit in seventh place, just one point behind RB Leipzig.
