Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid will look to make it four league wins in a row when they welcome Rayo Vallecano to Wanda Metropolitano this Tuesday.

The hosts won their third league game in a row last time out when they beat Athletic Bilbao 1-0. The win was secured by a goal by Antoine Griezmann–his 100th for the club–and took Atletico into the top four.

With Diego Simeone’s side now firmly established in the top four, they will come into this tie looking to record their fourth win in a row and to keep their faint chances of winning the La Liga title alive.

The Colchoneros are currently trailing their city rivals Real Madrid by six points but can cut the gap to three points-albeit temporarily, with a win in this game.

With six wins in their last six games against Rayo and six clean sheets in each of those games, the hosts will fancy their chances of winning this game.

Possible Atletico Madrid starting line-up

Jan Oblak; Nahuel Molina, Stefan Savic, Jose Gimenez, Reinildo Mandava; Rodrigo De Paul, Axel Witsel, Koke, Thomas Lemar; Alvaro Morata, Antoine Griezmann.

Injured: Felipe Monteiro, Marcos Llorente

Doubtful: Molina

Suspended: None

Rayo Vallecano

Rayo Vallecano will look to end their miserable run against Atleti when they travel to Madrid on Tuesday.

For a team that has a strong record against Spanish giants Barcelona, Rayo have not been able to defeat Diego Simeone’s side since beating them 2-1 in 2013.

The visitors come into this tie on the back of a goalless draw with Getafe. The result took their points tally for the season to eleven points (W3, D2, L4).

Ahead of this round of games, the visitors sit in a respectable tenth position, but with just four points separating them from Almeria, who are occupying the last relegation spot.

Having wanted a credible draw against Barcelona this season, they will fancy their chances of getting a point in this game. The visitors have done well against the top teams this season, with each of their losses to the current top six teams coming by not more than a one-goal deficit.

Possible Rayo Vallecano starting line-up

Stole Dimitrievski; Ivan Balliu, Florian Lejeune, Alejandro Catena, Fran Garcia; Santi Comesana, Oscar Valentin; Isi Palazon, Oscar Trejo, Garcia Rivera; Camello Perez.

Injured: Ruben de Tomas

Doubtful: Andres Martin

Suspended: None
