Leicester 5-0 Sheffield: Kelechi Iheanacho’s hat-trick ensures comfortable win for Foxes

Kelechi Iheanacho-Leicester City

Leicester City beat Sheffield United 5-0 tonight, to move to the second spot of Premier League at King Power Stadium, as Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first hat-trick while playing some brilliant football.

With this, Leicester City had now won their last four face-offs against Sheffield United. They are now placed just a couple of points above Manchester United in the points table. Kelechi Iheanacho has now scored in three consecutive matches for Leicester City.

Sheffield United struggled throughout the match, as they could manage just one shot in their 90 minutes. On the other hand, Leicester City enjoyed almost three-quarters of the possession and completely dominated the Blades throughout.

Kelechi Iheanacho was the star of the show as he began the proceedings 39 minutes into the game. Ayoze Perez scored the next goal 20 minutes into the second half.

Almost immediately, we saw a couple of more goals by Iheanacho. And just when it seemed like the match had seen enough, Ethan Ampadu conceded an own goal and it was all over. This was Leicester United’s biggest Premier League win since they humiliated Southhampton 9-0.

Kelechi Iheanacho’s game by numbers vs Sheffield United:
65 touches
9 duels won
8 touches in opp. box
7 ball recoveries

Absolutely thrilled for @67Kelechi. Such a talented striker who’s showed great patience and professionalism in the shadow of @vardy7. Wonderful hattrick.
