Real Madrid revive interest in Sterling

Real Madrid are considering a move for Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling, who has endured a second-string season this far.

The 26-year-old has been left out of Guardiola’s starting eleven in recent matches but the Englishman vowed to get back to his real best.

Man City were said to be preparing a new contract offer for Sterling but the talks have been stalled for the time being.

Real want to pounce on this situation and bring the former Liverpool man to the Spanish capital.

However, it is understood that City would demand a fee of around £80m for Sterling.

Pau Torres speaks amid Madrid interest

Villarreal centre-back Pau Torres turns out to be one of the sought after players in the market, with the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea and Los Blancos battling for his signature.

Real are also planning for defensive reinforcements, with both Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane facing an uncertain future at the Spanish capital.

Torres entered the spotlight after back to back impressive seasons with the Yellow Submarine adding to it, he earned the trust of Luis Enrique at the Spanish national team.

Torres, who recently helped his side qualify for the semi-finals of the Europa League, addressed the speculations, stating that he remains calm at the moment and wants to help his team.

The 24-year-old said: “I’m very calm, I have a contract with the club in my town and I’m enjoying it. I have to work to help my team.”
