Carlo Ancelotti eyeing a reunion with Gareth Bale at Everton

Gareth Bale-Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale is expected to return to Real Madrid when his loan spell at the London club is over this summer.

According to reportsEverton manager Carlo Ancelotti is keen on signing the Welshman on a free transfer.

Everton signed James Rodriguez from Real Madrid in a similar deal, and it will be interesting to see if they can convince the Spanish outfit to let Bale leave on a free this summer.

The 31-year-old has one year left on his contract with the Spanish outfit, but Real Madrid want nothing to do with him next season.

Zinedine Zidane has made it abundantly clear that he does not see the Welshman as a part of his first-team plans, and therefore the Spanish outfit is better off letting him leave.

Bale has shown flashes of his genius with Tottenham this season, and regular game time at Goodison Park next year could help him recapture his peak form.

Ancelotti has worked with Bale before, and he knows how to get the best out of the Welsh winger.

Everton will need to improve their attack in order to qualify for European football next season at Bale would be a massive upgrade on the likes of Alex Iwobi.

It will be interesting to see Ancelotti can convince the Welshman to move to Everton next season.

The Toffees will not be able to provide him with Champions League football, and that could be a major hurdle in the transfer. Bale has a big reputation, and he’s unlikely to have a shortage of suitors who can offer him European football next season.

Furthermore, his considerable wages could be a problem for Everton, who will have to shatter their wage structure in order to accommodate his paycheck.
