Rafa Benitez will look to get one over his old side when his Everton side face Liverpool in the 14th round of the PL this Wednesday.
The Spaniard, who joined the Toffees in the summer was expected to lead Everton’s push for a top-six finish. But so far, his reign has brought mixed results. He started well early in the season and went on a five-game unbeaten run in his first five games.
But since then, things have gone from bad to worse and his side are hosting Liverpool on the back of a seven-game winless run (D2, L5).
Their 1-0 loss to Brentford in their last outing was their sixth PL loss of the season and pushed them into 14th place, just six points adrift on the relegation zone and four points off the top seven.

The Reds beat Southampton 4-0 over the weekend to keep the pressure at the top of the table.
Two goals from in-form striker Diogo Jota, a sublime finish from Thiago Alcantara and a strike from Virgil van Dijk gave them all three points at Anfield last weekend and ensured that they remained within touching distance of Chelsea who top the league table.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have won all their matches since returning from the international break. In those games, they scored a total of ten goals and conceded zero, making them one of the most in-form teams in Europe at the moment.
A win here looks likely for the visitors who will be desperate to get one over their fierce rivals.
