Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge at the end of this season.
The German international is in the final year of his contract with the Blues and Paris Saint Germain are thought to be keen on snapping him up.
The French outfit have been keen on the German international ever since Thomas Tuchel was their manager.
According to reports, Tuchel wants his compatriot to renew his contract with Chelsea and it will be interesting to see if the two parties can finalise an agreement before his current deal expires.
The report further adds that so far there has been no contact between the club and the player’s entourage regarding a contract extension period
Rudiger is undoubtedly one of the best defenders in the Premier League and losing him would be a major blow for Chelsea.
The likes of Cesar Azpilicueta and Thiago Silva are in the twilight years of their career and Rudiger is likely to be the next leader at the back for Thomas Tuchel.
Chelsea must do everything in their power to hold on to him beyond this season.
Paris Saint Germain have pulled off some very impressive free transfers this summer and signing Rudiger on a similar deal next year would be another masterstroke for them.
The German defender recently helped Chelsea win the Champions League and he will be hoping to help the Blues win the Premier League title this season.
