Wolves signed 18-year-old Porto wonder-kid Fabio Silva for £35M

Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed on a deal to sign the Portugal youth international Fabio Silva.

The 18-year-old striker has joined the Premier League side for a fee of around £37 million.

The highly talented youngster has signed a 5-year contract with Wolves.

The Premier League side were following him closely and they have decided to splash out on the Porto youngster now.

It is a club-record signing for the Premier League outfit and it will be interesting to see how Silva performs in the Premier League next season.

The Portuguese attacker is a massive talent and he has a big future ahead of him. a quality manager like Nuno might be able to unlock his potential and help him develop as a player.

It will be interesting to see if Silva joins up with the club’s youth team next season. it could be a handy option for the first team as well.

Speaking to the media after his signing, Wolverhampton Wanderers chairman Jeff Shi claimed that Silva could have a big impact on the first team next season.

He said: “We’ve been following Fábio’s development for a long time. He’s a player that you only need several minutes to see his natural football talent,” Shi said. “In recent years, Fabio has been developing very fast and now has proven himself in Porto’s first team, which is a top squad. Our head coach’s requirement for quality is very high, but he thinks Fabio is an important signing who will help the team immediately this season.
