Pirlo identifies Alvaro Morata as Suarez alternative at Juventus

Morata scored the only goal for Atletico

The Italian manager is looking at the possibility of bringing Morata back to Turin.

Juventus look to have a plan B in place if they in the pursuit of striker target Luis Suarez.

According to reports, Andrea Pirlo will consider Atletico Madrid star Alvaro Morata as an alternative to Suarez.

Suarez looks to be the frontrunner for the striker role at Juve after having found that Uruguayan is no longer in the plans of Barcelona.

Despite getting linked with multiple clubs, Suarez remains keen on a move to Turin. It has been reported that Suarez would earn around 9 million pounds at Juve after agreeing personal terms.

The Old Lady are keen on adding a striker to the ranks after said to have axed Gonzalo Higuain.

Morata has emerged as the alternative option as Pirlo aims a reunion with the Spaniard at Turin.

The Spaniard has previously represented the Old Lady for two seasons and his memorable performance was against Real Madrid in the semi-finals of 2015 UCL, where Juve ended up victorious. Morata would score in the finals but Juve lost against Barcelona.

However, the Spaniard’s arrival will be complicated as his contract with Atletico runs until 2023.

The Binaconeri have to be deeply pocketed to bring Morata to Turin, but it looks implausible at the moment given the financial crisis.

The Italian champions are also linked with strikers Edin Dzeko, Arkadiusz Milik and Alexandre Lacazette.
