Manchester City and United have decided - not to furlough staff

Manchester City have been linked with quite a few defenders this summer and the latest name linked with a move to Etihad is that of Jules Kounde.

The young defender has done very well for Sevilla this past season and he could prove to be a quality long term replacement for Vincent Kompany.

It will be interesting to see if the Premier League giants can agree on a deal with the Spanish outfit for Kounde in the coming weeks.

Manchester City have been linked with a move for the Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly as well.

The Senegalese defender is a world-class player and he could prove to be a sensational signing for pep Guardiola’s team.

Manchester City failed to win the title last season because of their defensive vulnerabilities and  they should look to sign a world class defender before the transfer window closes.

Both Koulibaly and Kounde will be expensive options for the Premier League side and it will be interesting to see who they end up with eventually.

Koulibaly is a more experienced player who will be able to make an immediate impact at Manchester City as compared to the Sevilla player.

However Jules Kounde could prove to be a quality long term investment as well and Pep Guardiola could help him develop into a world-class defender.
