Former Arsenal player Mesut Ozil has praised England and Arsenal attacker Bukayo Saka after his superb display for the Three Lions in the World Cup.

Saka was part of the England squad that lost 2-1 to France in the World Cup quarter-final last Saturday. However, the youngster enjoyed a remarkable outing in Qatar, scoring three goals in four starts.

The 21-year-old was arguably the best player in their last game against France and won the penalty scored by Harry Kane. Although England lost the game, Saka’s former teammate Ozil was full of praise for his performance and took time out to praise the player.

On Twitter, he wrote: “You don’t need to feel ashamed Team England.

“A strong performance against the current World Champion, good defending against Mbappe & Co., but France very effective as always.

He concluded: “Great game from my brother @BukayoSaka87 – the future belongs to you.”

Saka will now return to England and should report back to his club soon, with the Gunners back in Premier League action against West Ham at the Emirates on December 26.
