Kai Havertz agrees personal terms for 5-year Chelsea deal

Bayer 3-1 Cologne Havertz put Leverkusen in top four

Chelsea have agreed on a five year deal with Kai Havertz.

As per reports, the two clubs are still in talks to find an agreement over the transfer fee and the German club are holding out for £90m.

Bayer Leverkusen crashed out of the Europa League last night and that could speed up the process of negotiations now.

Havertz’ season with the German club is over and he can now concentrate on sorting out his long term future.

Chelsea are determined to improve their attacking options this summer and they have already signed the likes of Ziyech and Werner.

Havertz would be another quality addition to their attack. The 21-year-old can play as a forward or a number ten and he will add goals and assists to the side.

The German attacker is regarded as  world class talent and he is certainly one of the finest talents to come out of Germany in quite some time.

Recently, Leverkusen chief Rudi Voller said: “For me, he’s the best I’ve seen at Leverkusen, and I’ve been here for a lifetime. We had Emerson, Ballack, Ze Roberto, Kroos, but he’s on top.”

It would be a major coup for the Blues if they manage to sign him this summer.

Chelsea have the resources to pull off a big money signing like this and Lampard should do everything in his power to get the deal done in the coming weeks.
