Liverpool have had an impressive transfer window this summer and Jurgen Klopp will be reasonably pleased with his business.
The Reds managed to identify some of the key weaknesses in their side and fix them in time.
Liverpool desperately needed to bring in a quality back up for Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas should be able to fill in for the Scottish international when needed this season.
Last year, Klopp had to field centre backs and midfielders as his full backs during rotation and injuries.
Meanwhile, the Reds also needed to add some craft and imagination to their play this summer.
The signing of Thiago Alcantara should fix that problem for them. The former Bayern Munich midfielder is a world class player and it will be exciting to see what kind of impact he makes on English football in his first season at the club.
Finally, Diogo Jota’s arrival addresses another key concern for Klopp. Liverpool have a world class front three but the drop off in quality after that is pretty huge.
Liverpool need to bring in quality backups for Mane, Salah and Firmino. The signing of Jota has already proven to be a good one and the Portuguese ace is only going to get better.
