Leeds United thrashed Burnley 4-0 after a spectacular second-half performance.

Leeds United built on their massive win against Tottenham last week to hammer Burnley 4-0 at Turf Moor.

Mateusz Klich broke the deadlock right before halftime after Leeds caught Clarets up in the break.

The Whites were relentless in the second half as Jack Harrison doubled the lead at the half-hour mark before substitute Rodrigo scored a brace to put Burnley to the sword.

Rodrigo, who completed his switch from Valencia last summer, was low in confidence after what turned out to be a disappointing first season at Elland Road. However, the goal against the Spurs last week and today’s double must give him enough morale in the future.

Marcelo Bielsa‘s men have been somewhat fluctuating this season. Still, their knack of scrapping results against the big teams and picking up emphatic wins courtesy of their expansive style of play makes them an exciting team to watch next season.

Leeds are currently tenth in the table, not far away from the likes of Arsenal, Spurs and Everton, and will look to finish the season on a high note. Meanwhile, Burnley are 15th on the table with 39 points.

Bielsa’s men can still secure Europa League qualification, but it’s a far-fetched scenario as they have to rely on permutations and results of the other teams. They will face Southampton on Tuesday before their last match of the season against West Brom.
