Chelsea
Chelsea will look to end their season with a win when they welcome already-relegated Watford to Stamford Bridge this Sunday evening.
The Blues have endured a miserable season but can wrap up the season with a win, which will be their first home win in three tries. Apart from the ownership tussle that has destabilised them, Chelsea have also lost two domestic finals, having been beaten by the same opponent twice.
But on the positive side, they finally secured a third-place Premier League finish this season with a 1-1 Leicester City last time out, with Marcos Alonso grabbing the equaliser after James Maddison had put the Foxes ahead early in the game.
Thomas Tuchel’s side will fancy their chances of winning this game, considering their record against the Hornets who they have beaten in four of the last five meetings between both sides.
Possible Chelsea starting line-up
Edouard Mendy; César Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Antonio Rudiger; Reece James, Marcos Alonso, N’Golo Kante Ruben Loftus-Cheek; Mason Mount, Hakim Ziyech; Romelu Lukaku.
Injured: Ben Chilwell, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Timo Werner
Doubtful: Andrea Christensen, Mateo Kovacic
Suspended: None
Watford
Already-relegated Watford will look to end what has been a miserable season on a winning note when they travel to London on Sunday afternoon.
The Hornets have endured a chastening return to the top flight, having lost the most games in the PL this season (26). They have had three managers this season, but have just six wins (five draws) to show for it.
They come into this tie without a win in eight games, with their last win coming in a 2-1 win over Southampton in mid-March.
Since then they have lost seven times and drawn one game while conceding five times in two games against Manchester City and Leicester City. The 5-1 loss to the Foxes was their last outing and saw them record a total of 75 goals conceded for the season. Only Leeds United (78) and Norwich City (79) have conceded more goals than the Hornets.
However, only 29 of these goals have been conceded away from home, which represents just 38% of their total goals conceded. And so they will come into this tie with a respectable away record despite losing their last three away games.
Possible Watford starting line-up
Ben Foster; Jeremy Ngakia, Christian Kabasele, William Troost-Ekong, Adam Masina; Moussa Sissoko, Edo Kayembe, Hassane Kamara; Ken Sema, Joao Pedro, Samuel Kalu.
Injured: Josh King, Emmanuel Dennis, Ismaila Sarr, Kiko Femenia, Juraj Kucka, Imran Louza, Cucho, Tom Cleverley, Samir Santos
Doubtful: Nicolas N’Koulou
Suspended: None
