Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace bounced back from their disappointing Boxing Day loss to Tottenham last Wednesday when they beat struggling Norwich 3-0. Odsonne Edouard opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the eighth minute before Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Jeffrey Schlupp completed the rout in the first half.

The win extended The ‘Eagles’ unbeaten run to three games in the Premier League (PL) fixtures at Selhurst Park (W2, D1). It also moved Patrick Vieira’s side into 11th place, five points behind Manchester United in seventh and 12 points away from the relegation zone.

They will look to continue their unbeaten run at home while picking up maximum points to keep them firmly rooted in the top half of the table.

However, Palace have won just one of the last seven home games with West Ham (D2, L4). They will be desperate to improve on that record in this game.

Possible Crystal Palace starting line-ups

Vicente Guaita; Joel Ward, James Tomkins, Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell; Cheikhou Kouyate, Jeffrey Schlupp, Conor Gallagher; Andre Ayew, Wilfried Zaha, Odsonne Edouard.

Injured: Nathan Ferguson, James McArthur, Nathaniel Clyne, Michael Olise, Eberechi Eze

West Ham United

West Ham ended their three-game winless run in the league last time out when they beat struggling Watford 4-1 on Tuesday.

Nigerian striker Emmanuel Dennis opened the scoring for Watford in the fourth minute. Still, Tomas Soucek, Said Benrahma, Mark Noble and Nikola Vlasic all scored to give West Ham a big win.

The win secured the fifth spot in the league table for the visitors coming into this tie, four points behind Arsenal in fourth. They retain the hope of finishing in the top six and will be desperate to take maximum points from this fixture.

However, the Hammers have won just one of their last nine away PL matches versus clubs in London (D2, L6). But they will fancy their chances of winning this tie and secure a third straight New Year’s Day fixture for the first time in their history.

Possible West Ham United starting line-ups

Lukasz Fabianski; Vladimir Coufal, Craig Dawson, Issa Diop, Benjamin Johnson; Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek; Manuel Lanzini, Said Benrahma, Jarrod Bowen, Michail Antonio.

Injured: Aaron Cresswell, Kurt Zouma, Angelo Ogbonna

Doubtful: Pablo Fornals
