Manchester United beat Newcastle United 4-1 in the Premier League match at Old Trafford as Cristiano Ronaldo scored a double on his second debut.

Ronaldo scored in the 45th and 62nd minute of the match, whereas his compatriot Bruno Fernandez ensured three points with a strike from 25-yards in the 80th minute. If this is not enough, Jesse Lingard added another during injury time.

Newcastle made a come back into the game with Javier Manquillo briefly levelling the score at the 55th minute of the match.

Cristiano Ronaldo is back

Yes, Cristiano Ronaldo is back and scored the decisive goals to make a difference between the two sides. CR7 scored his last goal(his 118th) for Manchester United in May 2009. He scored his 119th after 12 years and 124 days. 

The first goal was a little opportunistic for CR7, as he tapped in the ball when Freddie Woodman fumbled infant of the goal. But the second one was from 

Cristiano Ronaldo started the match and played full 90 minutes, when Bruno Fernandez, Jadon Sancho, and Mason Greenwood made ways for Donny Van de Berk, Jesse Lingard, and Anthony Martial.

Newcastle fought hard before they gave in

Newcastle held Manchester United till the first 45 minutes with nine players defending. Manchester United failed to secure a clear opportunity during the period, whereas the Magpies had few chances through counter-attacks.

They were not deterred after conceding the first goal as they levelled the score after 8 minutes into the second half. But they lost defensive composure after conceding the second and allowed too much time and space to Bruno Fernandez when he scored United’s third goal.

Manchester United used van de Beek and Jesse Lingard

With three points ensured, Ole Gunnar Solskjær brought back Jesse Lingard and Donny van de Beek as a first and second substitute. This shows that talented due feature in Solskjær’s plan. 

With Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United looked attacking and positive. They are not crippling under pressure from fans and the huge expectations that Manchester United players always shoulder on. Instead, the players and staff were seen jubilant and enjoying moments in front of the home crowd.
