11-year-old Leipzig stunned Atletico 2-1, 9 Talking points

4. Not a good day for Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid started awkwardly against the new team with new formation. They took little time to come back into the match. Atletico always look like -they were holding their guns for more opportune moments, especially during first half. They had some superb attempt saved by Gulácsi but they pressed only after conceding the goal. That happened in the away match against Liverpool too.

This time they simply did not have time to recover and a desperate Simeone replaced Koke with Felipe in the front during injury time.

5. Joao Felix – Boy to Man

Joao Felix was brought in at 58th minute, immediately after Atletico conceded the first goal. He took 12 minutes to level the score from spot kick. In between he made some spectacular run to Leipzig penalty area and earned the penalty kick at 70th minute.

He took no time to step up to take charge from Atletico side, despite having experienced Koke, Saul and Diego Costa in disposal.

Felix looked determined to prove his point throughout, and looked much closer to his price tag.

6. Dani Olmo made the first strike

Dani Olmo opened the scoresheet for RB Leipzig. The attack dumbfounded Atletico defence, the assist and finishing both were clinical by Marcel Sabitzer and Dani Olmo. Olmo placed the ball at far post for Oblak through a guided header, the Slovenian goalkeeper did not have much to do.
