Real Madrid striker, Karim Benzema has sent a motivational message to the France national team after Les Bleus beat England to book their place in the semi-final of the World Cup.

The veteran striker was ruled out of participating in the World Cup after picking up an injury but has watched from the sidelines as France have continued their title defence impressively.

Didier Deschamps’s men beat England 2-1 last Saturday courtesy of goals from Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud and a missed penalty by Harry Kane.

Reacting to the win, Benzema posted a message of support on his social media handle, urging the French national team to keep going until they secure the trophy.

“Come on guys, two more games we’re almost there… behind you. Vamonos,” Benzema wrote on Twitter.

France will face Morocco with a place in the final on the line. Should they win, they will face either Argentina or Croatia; a side they beat 4-1 in 2018 to lift the World Cup.
