Inzaghi prepared to ward off Lukaku’s suitors

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.

The 28-year-old Belgian has helped the Italian club win the league title after 11 years, and he has been in spectacular form this past season.

It is no surprise that the Blues are looking to bring him back to Stamford Bridge. Thomas Tuchel is in desperate need of a quality goal scorer, and Lukaku would be a massive upgrade on the likes of Timo Werner.

According to reports, incoming Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi has now made contact with the Belgian striker, and he’s prepared to ward off suitors and keep the player at the club beyond this summer.

Apparently, the 45-year-old manager has held talks with the striker recently, and Lukaku is apparently very pleased with the call from his new manager.

Inzaghi has provided the Belgian striker with assurances about the direction in which the club is heading after Conte’departure.

Chelsea to submit offer soon

Meanwhile, other reports claim that an offer from Chelsea could arrive in the coming hours for the 28-year-old Belgian striker, but Inter Milan will turn it down, and the player is not for sale.

The Italian outfit are set to communicate their stance to the newly crowned European champions, and it will be interesting to see if Chelsea can tempt them into selling their key striker with a lucrative offer.

Lukaku has scored 30 goals and provided 10 assists this past season, and he is one of the best strikers on the planet right now.

It is hardly a surprise that Inter Milan are desperate to hold on to him. He will be crucial to their ambitions next season and selling him week in the squat considerably.
