Blues interested in Barcelona outcast Pjanic

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who is currently not favoured by the Spanish club.

Pjanic sealed his transfer to the Nou Camp last summer but has since failed to be a regular under Ronald Koeman, who preferred the likes of Pedri, Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and Ilaix Moriba in the midfield.

Barca are planning for a summer overhaul, and many players, including Pjanic, have been placed on the transfer exchange.

Chelsea open talks with Maxence Lacroix

Chelsea have identified Wolfsburg defender Maxence Lacroix as another target, with Thomas Tuchel looking keen on strengthening the backline ahead of next season.

According to a report, the Blues have opened talks with the defender’s representatives over a potential transfer, although Wolfsburg doesn’t want to lose their prospect.

The Londoners are also said to be willing to offer a deal worth £26m for the signing of the young French defender.

Giroud attracting interest from Serie A

AC Milan are reportedly looking like the frontrunners to sign Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud although Lazio, Roma and Inter Milan are in the race.

The French striker’s contract expires this summer, and he is likely to leave Stamford Bridge. The former Arsenal star was impressive under Frank Lampard, but his importance has withered ever since Tuchel took over.

Milan are now looking to try the same experiment – they had with Mario Mandzukic – with Giroud.
