Real Madrid are looking to improve their attacking options this summer and they have been linked with a host of names in recent months.

Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe has been mentioned as a potential target but it appears that Carlo Ancelotti has other ideas.

According to reports, the Italian manager is looking to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

The 36-year-old attacker is in the final year of his contract with Juventus and he could be available for a knockdown price of around £25 million.

The La Liga giants are overly reliant on Karim Benzema in the attack and they could use someone like Ronaldo this season.

The likes of Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale have been quite underwhelming and Ronaldo could form a lethal attacking partnership with Benzema.

The Portuguese international has spent several years at Bernabeu and he has won every trophy at club level with Real Madrid.

It wouldn’t be surprising if he is open to a return to Spain this summer.

He has already proven his quality in the Italian league and the player might be open to a new adventure.

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is certainly offering him around and the player was recently offered to Manchester City.

It will be interesting to see if Ancelotti can convince the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to open his cheque book and bring the talismanic Portuguese star back to Santiago Bernabeu before the transfer window closes.
