Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from Juventus this summer and his agent Jorge Mendes has apparently offered the player to Premier League champions Manchester City.

The player is in the final ten months of his contract with the Italian giants and he could be available for a fee of around £25 million this summer.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester City are willing to take up the option to sign the 36 year old Portuguese international.

There is no doubt that Manchester City need to bring in a reliable goal scorer after the departure of Sergio Aguero to Barcelona and Ronaldo is one of the greatest goal scorers of all time.

Furthermore, it remains to be seen whether the player is open to a move to Etihad given his history with Manchester United.

Ronaldo spent six seasons with the Red Devils and scored 118 goals for them.

Manchester City have been linked with a move for the Tottenham striker Harry Kane as well and it will be interesting to see who they end up signing.

Kane would undoubtedly be a better option in the long run but a player of Ronaldo’s calibre could be hard to turn down.

Despite being 36, the Portuguese international is still a world-class player and he could help Manchester City win the major trophies for the next few seasons.

Ronaldo knows the Premier League well from his time at Old Trafford and he could make an immediate impact if he joins Pep Guardiola’s side.
