Former Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has now completed a move to the MLS side Los Angeles Football Club

The 32-year-old’s contract with the Spanish club expired earlier on in the summer, and he has chosen to leave European football now.

The Welsh international is certainly one of the best players in the world on his day, and it is quite surprising that he has decided to move to America just yet.

Bale barely had any opportunities to showcase his qualities for Real Madrid last season, but he was outstanding for his country.

There is no doubt that he could have been an exceptional addition to any club in Europe’s top 5 leagues.

The Welshman recently returned to Tottenham for a loan spell in 2020/21, and he was outstanding in the Premier League. He managed to score 16 goals for the Londoners.

There were rumours that he could return to the Premier League this summer as well.

However, it seems that he has chosen to pursue a different adventure, and it will be interesting to see if he can start to enjoy his football in America once again.

Bale had fallen down the pecking order at Real Madrid following a fallout with the fan base, the club hierarchy and the manager.

Furthermore, he was heavily criticized by the Spanish media as well.

The 32-year-old needed to leave Real Madrid as soon as possible, and the move to MLS could not have come at a better time for him.

According to reports, the Welshman has signed a one-year contract with Los Angeles FC, and he will be joining up with the former Juventus star Giorgio Chiellini.

Gareth Bale has won 5 Champions League titles and 3 Spanish league titles during his time at Real Madrid, and he will be hoping for a similarly successful stint at the American club now.

The Major League Soccer has grown in popularity exponentially over the last few years, and Bale will be hoping that several other established European stars can join him in America soon.
