The French teenager wants to become the best midfielder, claims his agent Jonathan Barnett

Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga would cost around 44m pounds, claims his agent Jonathan Barnett who also represents Gareth Bale.

Camavinga, 18, broke into the spotlight after a stellar 2019/20 season at Rennes, whom he helped to earn a spot in the Champions League. Following it, he also earned his maiden senior cap with the France national team.

Camavinga’s impressive performances haven’t gone unnoticed as he turns out to be a top target for La Liga giants Real Madrid.

Speaking on his client’s future, Barnett stated that Camavinga, who feels happy at Rennes for the time being, dreams of being the best midfielder in the world. Barnett also added that it would take around 44m pounds for the Frenchman’s transfer.

Barnett said, “At the moment, he’s a Rennes player. He likes Rennes and, at the moment, we haven’t really taken to other clubs. It isn’t our position.

“Let’s see what happens later on, but he’s doing well in Rennes and that’s fine. Being the best midfielder in the world, that’s how I see his future, (with) a lot of medals and a lot of trophies.”

When asked whether Camavinga would cost around 44m pounds, Barnett replied: ‘I would think so.’

While Real Madrid remains one of the top suitors for the young French midfielder, Barnett insisted Barcelona could be also an exciting destination.

European heavyweights including PSG, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Arsenal are also said to be keeping tabs on Camavinga.
