The AC Milan superstar has offered his verdict on Kylian Mbappe.

AC Milan star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has criticised Kylian Mbappe for not doing enough for PSG.

Ibrahimovic, who himself is a former Paris Saint Germain player, claims that the French World Cup winner needs to hurt himself to reach a higher level.

The 40-year-old said (h/t The Daily Mail): “I love him but he doesn’t do enough. He can become so good if he learns to hurt himself. He needs to get a taste for blood, walk on fire.

“Surround yourself with those who say you aren’t good enough & you will be better.”

Despite the Swede’s comments, Mbappe has been arguably the best player for PSG over the last few seasons.

Even in this season in an otherwise struggling Mauricio Pochettinho’s side, the 22-year-old has managed to rack up 6 goals and 8 assists in 14 games across all competitions.

Ibrahimovic also claimed that the current PSG team, despite boasting a host of superstars, is nowhere near the one he played for years ago.

The Rossoneri forward added: “No. Because we were a team. Today, this is not a team. Maybe later on. I believe in this team, but they are not the best.”

Mbappe has won a handful of trophies for both club and country at such a young age, with only Champions League missing in his trophy cabinet.

The former Monaco star has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, with his current deal at Parc Des Princes running out at the end of this season.

The Spanish giants are looking poised to get their hands on Mbappe on a free transfer next summer.
