Cristiano Ronaldo is thought to be keen on a move to Manchester City this summer.

According to reports from France, the 36-year-old Portuguese international and his agent are confident of securing a move to the Premier League club should they fail to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.

The report further states that Manchester City would have no problems paying his wages of around €31 million per season but they are not willing to pay much of a transfer fee for him.

Apparently, the Premier League club could look to use Aymeric Laporte in a deal to sign the Portuguese superstar.

Ronaldo has just one year left on his current deal with Juventus and he has been linked with a move away from the Italian club for weeks now.

Apparently, the 36-year-old wants to win more Balon d’Or trophies and therefore he wants to join a competitive club in a challenging league.

Manchester City could definitely use a top-class goal scorer after the departure of Sergio Aguero and Ronaldo is one of the best goal scorers of his generation.

The report claims that Ronaldo has already spoken to Manchester City players Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias and Joao cancelo.

Manchester City certainly have the prestige and the finances to pull off a transfer of this magnitude and it would be a sensational signing at this stage of the window.

The signing would come as a major disappointment for Manchester United fans who have adored Ronaldo ever since he joined the club from Sporting Lisbon as a teenager.
