Crystal Palace demolish Leeds United 4-1 to secure a morale-boosting win

Eberechi Eze-Crystal Palace

Leeds United crashed to a 4-1 defeat against Crystal Palace in the Premier League earlier tonight.

Scott Dann gave the home side their lead on the 12th minute and Eberechi Eze doubled their advantage on the 22nd minute.

Patrick Bamford got the away side back into the game with his goal on the 27th minute but Helder Costa’s own goal around the half time mark put the Londoner’s 3-1 ahead.

Crystal Palace wrapped up the scoring when Jordan Ayew scored on the 70th minute.

Leeds United were expected to put on a strong performance today and Marcelo Bielsa will be thoroughly disappointed with his team’s performance.

The newly-promoted side have been quite inconsistent this season and they will have to improve on that if they want to secure a respectable finish in the Premier League this year.

As for Crystal Palace, the London club will be very impressed with their performance today and they are up to 6th in the table with 13 points now.

Meanwhile Leeds United have picked up back to back defeats and are 14th in the table with just 10 points.

It will be interesting to see if Leeds United can bounce back strongly in their next game against Arsenal at home.

The whites have been quite impressive going forward but they will have to tighten up at the back if they want to do well in the Premier League this year.

Crystal Palace will have gained immense confidence from their win tonight and they will be hoping to pick up a win against Burnley in their next game as well.
