Chelsea

Chelsea beat Malmo FF by 1-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday to extend their winning run to seven games in all competitions.

The Blues have been in imperious form this season and have proven hard to break down, only conceding three times in the league this season.

They head into this tie sitting on top of the league table and three points ahead of Liverpool who are sitting in second. They will now look to extend their stay at the top by taking all three points against Burnley.

Thomas Tuchel’s side have a good record against Burnley and have won four of their last four head-to-head meetings against Sean Dyche’s side.

They also boast the best home record of all 20 teams in the division, picking up 12 points and scoring 16 goals in five games.

Possible Chelsea starting line-ups

Edouard Mendy, Thiago Silva, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, Reece James, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz.

Burnley

Burnley finally got their Premier League win in impressive fashion when they beat Brentford 3-1 last weekend.

The clarets are sitting in 18th place after ten games, having lost five of their opening games. They will hope to get their second win of the season when they travel to London and perhaps push themselves out of the relegation zone.

However, they have failed to find the back of the net against Chelsea in each of their last three encounters, while conceding eight goals in that time. They have also failed to keep a clean sheet against the Blues in any of the most recent 15 meetings between the sides across all competitions.

Sean Dyche’s side are often hard to beat but have not won a game on the road this season, picking up two draws and losing three in five outings.

Possible Burnley starting line-ups

Nick Pope, Lowton, James Tarkowski, Ben Mee, Taylor, Ashley Westwood, Johann Gudmundsson, Josh Brownhill, Dwight McNeil, Maxwel Cornet, Chris Wood.
