Sampdoria have revealed their price tag for talented Mikkel Damsgaard.
Sampdoria star Mikkel Damsgaard emerged as one of the breakout stars in Euro 2020 after impressing for Denmark.
Stepping into the occasion in the absence of Christian Eriksen, Damsgaard was pivotal behind the Danes reaching the semi-finals of Euros before losing to England.
However, Sampdoria reportedly rates him at £34m as the club’s chief insisted that the player’s stock has skyrocketed after a superb European Championship campaign.
Damsgaard managed to rack up two goals, and an assist in the tournament and all of those strikers were top notch.
The 20-year-old found the nets for the first time against Russia in the group stage, and he later followed with a brilliant free-kick goal in the semi-finals, where they eventually lost to England.
Damsgaard made his switch to Serie A last summer, and in his first season, he became an integral part of Sampdoria. He scored his maiden goal for Blucerchiati against Lazio.
The Danish youngster is also said to be on the radar of European heavyweights Barcelona and Juventus.
Damsgaard has just completed only one year in Europe’s top league, but in no time, he is being cited as one of the top talents in Europe at the moment.
Sampdoria would be braced for plenty of bids from the suitors for Damsgaard, who has a contract running until 2024.
