Harry Kane has finally returned to Tottenham training with teammates after an extended absence.
The England striker, who is keen on moving to Manchester City this summer after growing dissatisfied with Spurs, was pictured training alongside his teammates on Friday.
Kane has not played for the team under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo as he is still trying to regain fitness after returning late from holiday.
He missed his side’s Premier League opener with Manchester City. He was not part of the travelling squad that went to Portugal for the Spurs’ UEFA Europa League Conference cup last Thursday.
Nuno has refused to be drawn into making comments regarding his star player. However, ahead of their trip to Portugal, the former Wolves manager said;
‘What we must be sure of is that when we decide to put a player on the pitch, we have to consider all the aspects.
‘The fitness aspects, mental aspects and we are here to support all the players, equally, and Harry, of course, has all our support.’
Reports claim that Manchester City are preparing to make one last bid to test Daniel Levy’s resolve in holding onto Kane. The striker who won the Premier League Golden Boot last season is considered one of the best strikers in Europe at the moment.
Pep Guardiola has made public his desire to sign the striker and will do all it takes to bring the forward to the Etihad before the transfer window closes on August 31st.
Despite reports that Kane refused to report back to training on time to force his move to City, the forward took to social media early this week to clarify that a communication breakdown caused his late return to England.
The forward could play his first game of the season when Tottenham play the Wolves on Sunday evening.
