Liverpool Update: Paulo Dybala interest, £43M Barcelona Coutinho debt, Firmino position change

Costa picks Dybala as the best in Juve, before Ronaldo

Paulo Dybala interest

Liverpool have once again been linked with Juventus attacker Paulo Dybala.

The 27 year old has been linked with a move away from the Italian club and it will be interesting to see if the Reds splash out on him during the summer.

There is no doubt that Jurgen Klopp needs to improve his attacking options and Dybala could prove to be a quality long term investment for them.

The Argentine international will add goals and creativity to the side and he would be a much-needed upgrade on Roberto Firmino.

Barcelona’s Coutinho debt

Meanwhile, Barcelona are looking to offload between their Philippe Coutinho in order to pay off Liverpool’s debt.

The former Liverpool midfielder has been a major flop at the Spanish club and it will be interesting to see in Barcelona can find a buyer for him this summer.

According to reports, the Catalan club owes Liverpool a sum of around £43 million and they are looking to pay it off by raising funds through the Brazilian’s sale.

Barça want to sell Coutinho this summer, but there are still several installments to be paid to Liverpool, which are estimated at more than 50 million euros. The idea of the club is to try and sell him for that amount, so that they can pay the debt to the English outfit. [sport]

Firmino role change

Finally, Roberto Firmino could be set for a position change after his recent run of form and the return of Diogo Jota from injury.

Jota was excellent for the Reds before his injury and it will be interesting to see if he can regain his scoring touch once again.

Firmino has looked like a shadow of his former self for over a year now and he needs to be replaced soon.

Jota could lead the line for the Reds in the coming weeks and Firmino might drop down to the attacking midfield position to compensate for the lack of goals.
