Valverde interest as Pogba Replacement

Manchester United are eyeing up a move for the Real Madrid player Federico Valverde as a replacement for French international Paul Pogba.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford at the end of this season and The Premier League side could look to move for Valverde if the Frenchman decides to move on.

The Spaniard has done exceedingly well in La Liga so far and he could prove to be a solid long term investment for the Red Devils.

Real Madrid are under no pressure to sell the midfielder and it will be interesting to see if Manchester United can convince Los Blancos to cash in on him.

It is likely to be an expensive acquisition for the Premier League side.

Greenwood Contract extension

Meanwhile, young striker Mason Greenwood has signed a new contract with the club.

Greenwood is one of the most talented young players in England right now and he has already managed to establish himself as a first-team player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

It is hardly a surprise that the Premier League club wants to hold onto him for the long run.

Greenwood has a big future ahead of him and he will be hoping to establish himself as a regular starter in the coming months now.

Andre Silva on Solskjaer’s radar

The Red Devils have also been linked with a move for the Eintracht Frankfurt striker Andre Silva.

The Portuguese international has been one of the most clinical attackers in Europe this season and the Red Devils could certainly use someone like him.

Edinson Cavani is in the twilight of his career right now and Manchester United must look to sign a long term option this summer.

Silva is a better finisher than the likes of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford. He could prove to be a quality signing for salt gaol in the summer.
