Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has informed the Premier League club that he is open to leaving them this month.

The 24-year-old arrived at the London club with massive expectations from Lyon and he was regarded as one of the finest midfield talents around Europe.

However, the box to box midfielder has struggled to adapt to English football and he has not been able to demonstrate his true qualities yet.

Initially, the player struggled to earn the trust of the former Tottenham midfielder Jose Mourinho and he found himself in the fringes of the first-team squad.

History is now repeating itself once again and it seems that the newly appointed Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo is not convinced about the player either.

Apparently, Nuno Espirito Santo wants players who are committed to his project and he does not believe that the French midfielder fits that description.

It will be interesting to see if the Premier League side can find a suitor for the midfielder in the remaining days of the transfer window.

Apparently, the midfielder earns around £200,000 a week and therefore finding a club for him could prove to be difficult in this market.

Furthermore, Ndombele cost Tottenham a fee of around £55 million two years ago and the Londoners will almost certainly struggle to find a club willing to pay that kind of money for him right now.

If he does end up leaving this summer, Ndombele will go down as one of the biggest flops in Tottenham’s history.
