Cagliari 1-3 Inter: Inter pull of incredible come-back; Barella, Lukaku on scoresheet

Romelu Lukaku-Inter Milan

The Nerazzurri have produced an impressive comeback to sink Cagliari.

Inter Milan have come from behind to pick up an impressive 3-1 win against Cagliari as Nico Barella, D’Ambrosio and Lukaku all found the scoresheet.

Antonio Conte‘s men were under pressure before they entered the game as they have been recently knocked out of the Champions League and to everyone’s dismay they couldn’t even seal a spot in Europa League.

Inter trailed by a goal at the end of the first half after Riccardo Sottil found the nets minutes before the half time.

With the game looked to be in the favour of the hosts, Nico Barella came up with a stunning goal to put Inter on the level terms. Danilo D’Ambrosio scored the second moments later before Romelu Lukaku added another one in the stoppage time. The Belgian striker kept his red hot form in Serie A as he beat past Cagliari goalkeeper from the halfway line before slotting the ball to nets.

Inter avoided another set-back to follow their Champions League elimination midweek as they are now back to the winning ways.

Conte has been impressive in Serie A as his side are currently second in the table, trailing their arch-rivals Milan by two points.

It remains to be seen whether Inter can build on this win as they face Napoli on Thursday. The Nerazzurri are now unbeaten in their last seven league games this season.
