Stadium: NSC Olimpiyskiy

Key Statistics

  • Barcelona had ended victorious in the home leg of the Champions League this season against Dynamo Kyiv
  • Barca suffered a defeat in their recent La Liga fixture against Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona

Barcelona’s Champions League form has been different from that of their worrying league form this season. The Catalans are currently first in their respective group, having beaten all once.

However, Ronald Koeman has failed to replicate the same impact in La Liga, with Barca currently standing 13th in the table and were also beaten by Atletico Madrid on Saturday after the international break.

The most worrying thing than the defeat will be the injuries for Gerard Pique and Sergi Roberto, with the former one getting ruled out for around four months due to knee injury.

With Lionel Messi and Frenkie de Jong taken out of the travelling squad, it would be a great opportunity for others to shine.
