The Premier League champions are looking to sign a striker in the summer transfer window.

Manchester City are looking to sign a top-quality striker this summer following the departure of Sergio Aguero, who joined Barcelona on a free transfer.

Harry Kane remains a top target for the Premier League champions after the English striker expressed his desire to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

City are said to have submitted an offer worth £100m for the 27-year-old; however, Spurs owner Daniel Levy is desperate to keep him beyond this summer, which has now forced the Sky Blues to look out for alternatives.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has reportedly emerged as a possible target, and City are keeping tabs on his contract situation.

The Polish striker has two years left in his current deal, and he has been linked with an exit in recent weeks after reports emerged that he seeks a new challenge.

Lewandowksi is currently in the form of his life after concluding a stellar 2020/21 season, where he broke Gerd Muller’s record by scoring 41 goals in Bundesliga.

After leading the Bavarians to yet another league title and winning the European Golden Boot, the 32-year-old is now one of the candidates to win the Ballon d’Or.

City doesn’t want to compromise on quality as they believe Lewandowski can bring a lot to the team. Furthermore, Pep Guardiola has previously worked with the Polish international and is said to be excited about reuniting with him.

However, City has to fend off interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid, who are also interested in signing Lewandowski if he leaves this summer.
