Tottenham Hotspur

Following a 3-0 win over Norwich in the Premier League last weekend, Tottenham turn their attention to the Conference League where they are looking to seal a place in the next round.

The win over Norwich was the hosts’ fourth win under Conte and made it two consecutive clean sheets for them.

After losing 2-1 to NS Mura in their last European outing, the win and the clean sheet will come as a welcome boost for them. They will now look to make it three wins in three games when they welcome group G leaders, Rennes.

Conte’s side are currently sitting second in the group, level on points with Vitesse. They need a win to guarantee them a place in the next round, while a draw might also be enough if NS Mura defeat Vitesse in the other Group G fixture.

However, the news of a COVID-19 outbreak in the Spurs camp has dampened the mood around the club and might have a negative effect on their performance in this game.

Possible Tottenham Hotspur starting line-ups

Hugo Lloris; Davinson Sánchez, Eric Dier, Joe Rodon; Matt Doherty, Harry Winks, Pierre-Emile Hobjberg, Japhet Tanganga; Dele Alli, Steven Bergwijn; Harry Kane.

Injured: Cristian Romero, Sergio Reguilon

Doubt: Giovani Lo Celso

Suspended: Ryan Sessegnon

COVID-19: Emerson Royal, Bryan Gil, Son Heung-min, Lucas Moura, Ben Davies

Rennes

Rennes will look to continue their unbeaten run in the Conference League this Thursday when they travel to London.

The French side have won three of their opening five games in the group stages (D2) and have already guaranteed themselves a top of the table finish as they are currently four points ahead of the other teams.

They come into this tie fresh from a morale-boosting 5-0 win over St. Etienne in the Ligue 1 – their eleventh win in the last 15 games in all competitions. Having scored in their last 15 games, the visitors will fancy their chances of getting a goal in this game.

However, a poor record against English opponents will be a source of worry for them as they have lost each of their last three away visits to England without scoring a goal.

Possible Rennes starting line-ups

Alfred Gomis; Adrien Truffert, Nayef Aguerd, Warmed Omari, Hamari Traore; Jonas Martin, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Baptiste Santamaria; Benjamin Bourigeaud, Martin Terrier, Gaetan Laborde.

Injury: Jeremy Gelin

Doubt: Flavien Tait, Jérémy Doku

Suspended: None
