Group D comprises of four teams: Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Scotland.
Croatia
Since 1994, the Croatian national team has competed in competitive matches, beginning with the 1996 European Championship qualification campaign. They contested in their inaugural FIFA World Cup in 1998 and finished third. Davor Uker won Golden Boot in FIFA World Cup in 1998. Croatia reached the 2018 World Cup Final exactly twenty years later.

Czech Republic
The Czech Republic’s first international competition after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia was the UEFA Euro 1996 when they finished second, and they have competed in every European Championship thereafter. They have only competed in one FIFA World Cup since their split, the 2006 tournament.

Scotland
Scotland and England are the world’s two oldest national football teams, having met in the world’s first international football match in 1872. From 1872 to 1989, Scotland had a long-standing rivalry with England, with whom they played annually.
