Borussia Dortmund Update: Haaland decision, Bellingham to join up with England, Sancho injury

Borussia Dortmund

Haaland will leave without Champions League football

Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland has been linked with a move away from the German club at the end of the season and reports claim that the player has now informed his agent that he will move on if Dortmund failed to qualify for the Champions League.

The German outfit are currently 5th in the League table and it will be interesting to see if they can secure Champions League football for the next season.

It is no surprise that a player of Haaland’s calibre wants to play in the Champions League every year and it will be interesting to see where the 20-year-old ends up next year.

The Norwegian is one of the most prolific goal scorers in world football right now and he has scored 33 goals in all competitions so far this season.

The player has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid in recent months and he would prove to be a quality signing for the Spanish Giants.

Sancho to miss Man City clash

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho is likely to miss the Champions League encounter against his former club Manchester City.

The winger could be out until April with an injury.

The 20-year-old has made quite a name for himself in Germany since leaving the Premier League club and he would have wanted to make his mark against his former club next month.

His absence will certainly be a blow for Dortmund and they could have used his pace and flair against a well organized Manchester City defence.

Bellingham to join up with the England squad

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham has been cleared to join up with the England squad after the latest German Coronavirus update.

Initially, the player was expected to miss the international break because of the Coronavirus restrictions in January but the German authorities have now permitted Bellingham to join up with the Three Lions without having to self-isolate for two weeks upon his return.
