Man United Transfer: Red Devils not repeating Pogba mistake, Mengi deal, Kounde boost

Paul Pogba-Manchester United

New deals with Hannibal Mejbri and Anthony Elanga

Manchester United recently agreed on new deals with Hannibal Mejbri and Anthony Elanga.

The Red Devils have been quite proactive in handing out new contracts to their talented young players and it shows that they have learned from their mistake regarding Paul Pogba.

The Old Trafford outfit let the Frenchman run down his contract back in 2012 and Juventus were able to sign him on a free transfer.

Manchester United then had to pay a club-record fee of £89 million to bring Pogba back to Old Trafford and the lack of foresight from the Premier League giants was astounding.

The fans will be delighted to see that the club have got their act together and they are focused on keeping their top talents.

Teden Mengi new deal

Meanwhile, Academy product Teden Mengi has also agreed on a contract with the Red Devils.

The youngster is currently on loan at Derby County and he has signed a 3 ½ year deal with the Premier League side.

Mengi is rated highly at Old Trafford and he has a massive future ahead of him.

Jules Kounde boost

Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of the Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.

The Frenchman has established himself as one of the most exciting defensive prospects in European football and Manchester United are thought to be keen on signing him.

Apparently, the Spanish outfit are willing to sell the player for a fee of around £50 million and the 22-year-old certainly has the potential to justify that price tag.

It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can secure his services this summer.

They need to add more competition to their defensive unit and the 22-year-old has the talent to develop into a far better player than the likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
