Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has been banned from training with the first team.
The player has been training alone with a fitness coach for over a fortnight now.
As per Metro, Mikel Arteta is frustrated with the player’s antics and he took the decision to ban the youngster from the first team setup.
Guendouzi has had a fall out with the manager and he has been unruly on the pitch as well. Recently, his behavior during the Brighton game left the manager furious.
It will be interesting to see if the player can turn it around and salvage his career at Arsenal.
He has been linked with a move away this summer and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Arsenal cash in on the player.
He has the talent to succeed at the top level but he needs to sort out his attitude first.
In other news, Arteta wants to keep Dani Ceballos at the club next season.
“We are talking to the club,” said Arsenal’s head coach. “Obviously we don’t own the player, he’s not in our hands, so the clubs will need to have a communication and see what we can do.”
The player is on loan from Real Madrid and he has managed to impress recently.
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can agree on an extension of the loan deal or a permanent move.
Ceballos has formed a good partnership with Xhaka at the heart of Arsenal’s midfield and he could develop into a key player for the Gunners next season.
