The Catalans are interested in signing the Spanish left-back.
Barcelona have expressed their interest in signing Manchester City defender Angelino.
According to reports, Barca will be required to meet his valuation of €30m as they look to reinforce the left-back slot.
Angelino had his time split between Man City and Leipzig, where he had spent the second half of the last season on loan. The Spaniard was also part of Leipzig side which reached the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Angelino was impressive during his spell at PSV Eindhoven before Citizens triggered his release clause last summer.
Elsewhere, Barcelona are looking to get rid of ever-present Jordi Alba but finding it difficult as his contract runs until 2024.
The 31-year-old has not been at his best for the past two seasons while last summer signing Junior Firpo has struggled to find his footing. Firpo was previously linked in a player plus cash deal for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
Barca are looking to revamp the squad after another disappointing season, where they failed to win both La Liga and UCL titles. Consequently, several players are said to be placed on the transfer exchange with Alba among the list.
Barcelona are also said to be monitoring Valencia left-back Jose Gaya.
Ronald Koeman was chosen as the new manager to lead Barca following the dismissal of Quique Setien.
It remains to be seen whether Barca would go for a left-back in the transfer window or stick with Alba and Firpo.
