Atletico had another thumping win in La Liga after a brace from Joao Felix.
Atletico Madrid have extended their undefeated streak in La Liga after a 4-0 win against Cadiz at Wanda Metropolitano.
Joao Felix has produced another stellar display, racking up a double and an assist.
The Portuguese youngster opened the scoring in the eighth minute through a powerful header. Cadiz goalkeeper Ledesma committed a blunder by trying to pick up the ball at the edge of the box; Marcos Llorente then pounced on the spillage and whipped a cross to Felix, who powered it from a distance.
Llorente followed up with a goal when midfielder Alex failed to clear the ball inside the box, which allowed the Spaniard to fire a shot into the nets.
Luis Suarez tripled the home side’s lead sooner in the second half after being picked out by fellow striker partner Felix.
Cadiz had a couple of decent chances to have a crack at the goal, but Atletico keeper Jan Oblak denied them.
Rojiblancos capped off the game with a goal from Felix after being assisted by Angel Correa.
The win also took Atletico to the top of the table while they are yet to lose their first game in La Liga.
Felix’s brace has also put him in the top of the scoring charts with 5 goals, tied with his teammate Luis Suarez, who has also been impressive since the start.
Atletico will host Barcelona in the next La Liga fixture, which will be played after the international break.
