Kai Havertz of Leverkusen linked with Real Madrid move

Chelsea keen to sign Leverkusen forward Kai Havertz

Kai Havertz has been linked with a move away from Leverkusen for a while now.

It appears that Real Madrid are keen on the player and they have submitted a €80 million bid for the midfielder.

Leverkusen will not want to lose their prized asset this summer but the offer is significant and it could easily turn heads at the German club.

Furthermore, Real Madrid are one of the best clubs in the world and Havertz himself would be tempted to join them.

It is hard to resist a move to Bernabeu for most players and the German youngster will fancy his chances.

The report adds that Real Madrid are looking to agree on a deal this summer but they are prepared to loan him out to Leverkusen for another season.

The deal makes a lot of sense for the German outfit. They get to make a lot of money for Havertz now and they can keep him for a year as well.

As for Havertz, he can continue to develop without too much pressure in the Bundesliga for another year before making the step up to Real Madrid.

It will be interesting to see if the German outfit accept the offer.

Havertz has been linked with Manchester United and Liverpool as well but the Premier League duo will struggle to match Real Madrid in terms of finances and prestige.

Havertz has 15 goals and 7 assists to his name so far this season.
