Araujo set to sign Barcelona deal

Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo has been linked with a contract extension at the Spanish club for weeks now and it seems that the 23-year-old is set to commit his long term future to the Catalan giants.

According to a report from ESPN, the 23-year-old is a target for Manchester United and Liverpool as well but he is prepared to ignore lucrative offers from the two Premier League clubs in order to stay at Barcelona.

The 23-year-old has developed into a key player for Xavi Hernandez and he has a big future ahead of him.

Barcelona need to strengthen defensively and they cannot afford to lose Araujo this summer.

His decision to commit his long term future to the club will come as a major boost to the Barcelona fans.

Hazard to be loaned out

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are looking to loan out Eden Hazard at the start of next season as per AS.

The 31-year-old joined the club for a massive fee but he has failed to live up to the expectations because of consistent injury problems and inconsistent performances.

A move away from Real Madrid could be ideal for the Belgian superstar and it’ll be interesting to see where he ends up.

The player has been linked with a move back to Chelsea in recent months and it will be interesting to see if the Blues are willing to loan him next season.

The Spanish giants have been linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe and the arrival of the Frenchman will push the Belgian further down the pecking order at Santiago Bernabeu.

A loan move would certainly make sense for all parties unless a permanent buyer can be found.
