Real Madrid confident of completing a big-money move for Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe will cost £35m, claims French politician

Mbappe is uncertain over renewing his deal with PSG.

Real Madrid are reportedly maximizing their efforts to sign PSG ace Kylian Mbappe.

According to reports, Los Blancos are looking steadfast on completing a big-money move worth 161m pounds for the French World Cup winner.

It has been reported earlier that Mbappe is against signing a contract extension with Les Parisiens and also handed in a transfer request.

Meanwhile, Madrid, who didn’t make any signing this summer after becoming financially hit due to pandemic, are planning to sign their perennial target Mbappe in the next summer transfer window.

PSG would be put under certain pressure if Mbappe opts against signing a new deal as his current contract expires in 2022.

The Ligue 1 champions are throwing everything at the kitchen sink to convince the 21-year-old to extend his stay at Parc Des Princes, as they fear losing him out for free.

Paris St-Germain’s Sporting Director Leanardo has recently stated that the club is working on extensions of several players including Mbappe.

We’ve started talks on several fronts over the renewal of certain players.

We have to adapt to the reality of the current economic climate, but we have started discussions over the renewals we have in mind – [Ángel] Di María, Neymar and Mbappé, as well as [Juan] Bernat and [Julian] Draxler – and we are going to intensify these negotiations in the coming days.’

Madrid have figured out that the 21-year-old would cost around 161m pounds if they are to sign him next summer.

The defending La Liga champions have struggled to find a suitable replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo over the past two seasons and Mbappe could be the answer they have been searching for.
