Real want to keep Odegaard despite Arsenal interest.

Martin Odegaard looks to have found his feet at Arsenal after a stellar start to his loan spell.

As expected, the Gunners want to make his signing a permanent one from Real Madrid as Mikel Arteta cites the Norwegian youngster as key to his squad.

However, Los Blancos are reportedly not willing to sell the 20-year-old and want him back at the club at the end of this season.

Odegaard endured a difficult start to this season at Madrid despite the fact he was coming off a stellar loan spell at Real Sociedad. However, injuries dented his progress soon and it also took his place from the starting eleven.

The lack of game time under Zidane prompted him to leave for Emirates Stadium and now he appears to be more of a happy figure after becoming the key cog to Arteta’s side.

Madrid left frustrated with United’s approach for Pau Torres.

Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly become more frustrated after learning that Manchester United are leading the race for centre-back target Pau Torres.

Torres has developed into one of La Liga’s talented centre-backs and Madrid see him as a potential replacement for Sergio Ramos, whose future is up in the air.

United also want a centre-back this summer who can be comfortable with the ball at his feet. Torres fits the bill but could cost around €60m.
